From the Principal's Desk

It has been such a great year. Thank you to everyone for all of the support this past year.  We are so lucky to have such a great family of parents, grandparents, students, and staff.

Please send in a stamped addressed legal sized envelope so that we can send home 4th quarter report cards, in June.  Remember all financial obligations need to be paid (tuition, daycare charges, lunch charges, library fines, etc.).

Just a reminder for those of you who have children who will be returning to St. Vincent for the 2010-2011 school year: there are some fees that were due on May 1 (academic fee, computer/library fee, and Archdiocesan fee).  The Family Assessment fee is due on June 1.

Thank you to those who supported Beef O'Brady Day this month.  We received a check for $81.88.

The St. Vincent de Paul PTO will be holding its annual Used Uniform and Book Sale, in the Parish Hall, on Thursday, May 27, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

Five eighth graders were honored for their work on the Student Government this year.  They are Brooke Whigham, Lucas Donivan, Brock French, Hannah Houseknecht, and Haley Parker.

The last day of school is Friday, May 28.  We have our school Mass and dismissal at 10:00.

FACTS tuition forms for 2010-2011 are available in the office.  Come by the office, see Ms. Karen and sign your form.

There is still time to register for Vacation Bible School which runs from June 14-18.  VBS is for students who just completed K3-5th grade.  The cost is $10 per child.  Older students can help as group leaders.  there is a registration form to complete.

Summer Reading Lists

In this week's Wednesday folders, we have included for you copies of the summer reading, book, fees, and supply lists.  Please be sure that your child is an active reader during the summer and that he/she keeps his/her reading log current.  Encourage your child to read throughout the summer and not to wait until right before school starts.  Students do get grades for these summer reading assignments.

If for some reason, you misplace these lists, we will have them available for you on our school website.

Sad Good-Byes

It is hard to say good-bye to Mrs. Melodie Drach, Mr. Tom O'Donnell, Mrs. Stephanie Van Cleave, Mrs. Jenna Strickland, and Mrs. Missy Wallace.  Thank you to each of them for all of their contributions to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School.  We will miss them terribly.  We wish them the best of luck in the future.

Uniform Changes for 2010-2011
