St. Vincent de Paul School Scrip Program
2008-2009
The Scrip program is one of St. Vincent's most profitable fundraisers.
Currently, we are using the profits generated
from this fundraiser to update our school technology program.
To participate in the Scrip program, all you have to do is to purchase Scrip for
the merchants where found on the
Great Lakes Scrip ( www.glscrip.com )
website.
The companies that participate in the Scrip program provide the certificates at
a discounted price. The difference between
the face value of the certificate and the discounted price is the profit earned.
The formula for rebates is 75% to SVS
and 25% to you. You start earning tuition credit from your very first
order. Families will be sent an earnings statement
each month to help keep up the
motivation and to enable families to see how fast profits are adding up.
For example: Winn Dixie offers a 4% rebate for each card purchased.
If you were to order $100 in Winn Dixie cards for 25
weeks, you would earn a total profit of $25 for tuition credit and $75 for the
school. You don't even have to ask a
relative or friend to buy a thing. You can ask your friends and relatives
to purchase through the SVS Scrip Program and you
can receive additional tuition credits for your family. All you have to do
is plan ahead for the items that you would normally purchase.
It does take some planning and a commitment to the program. But once you
get in the rhythm of placing orders, the profits
will add up quickly. We look forward to having you participate in our
Scrip Program. If you have any questions
concerning the Scrip Program, I can be reached at 604-5448.
How the SCRIP Program Works
1. Order forms go home on Wednesday.
2. I get the order forms back by Friday. Orders can also be placed by email to svsscrip@yahoo.com or at www.shopwithscrip.com. Our enrollment number 8LE5879D511L, or if you have an emergency order you need to place, you can call me at 666-3610.
3. I usually order on Saturday or Sunday.
4. SCRIP cards usually come back by Tuesday.
5. I sort and pack the orders and put in Wednesday folder or in the office for office pick up.
It is a very simply process. I have personally raised over $100 for the school by just ordering mainly gas and grocery cards. I buy these things anyway and I will receive a nice credit on my fees that are due for next year. Please don't hesitate to call me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Laurie
